More Portfolio Pieces

When I shot this image, I was attracted to the light quality and the water droplets. This is one of my favorite images from my portfolio so far.

I notice lately, I am focusing more on the color green and the water. I guess I just find the leaves of a plant sometimes more interesting than anything else in it.

In this image I liked the soft shadows from other plants reflecting back on the leaves. I am also a big fan of shadows in pictures, but now I like the shadows in the plants.

Water droplets again! I think water droplets add to the beauty of plants.

Denver Botanic Gardens Portfolio Pieces

For this image I focused on how the light made the leaves more interesting and vibrant.

These leaves were just very interesting to me. I like that the leaves were imperfect and bending back.

Portfolio Pieces

I shot this image at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado. I liked the color, design, and how the light emphasized the plant.

This image was shot at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Denver, Colorado. I photographed it because I was drawn to the vibrant green and the symmetry of the leaves.

These red leaves were also photographed at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I wanted to purposely use selective focus on the leaves and focus on the red and the design of these leaves.

Again, this bark was shot at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I think the Denver Botanic Gardens has a variety plants that would make nice portfolio pieces for me. I was attracted to the tree bark, because of the nice texture in it.

I shot this image at Washington Park in Denver, Colorado. When I saw this plant, and I took a picture of it because of the pattern of the leaves.
